Have you seen our Additional Reports?
What is the difference between our House Price Statistics (available at no cost) and the Additional Reports (that carry a small nominal charge that starts from just £4) ?

When researchers are trying to develop a measure of house price change, they face the difficulty that sales in one area of the city/town may be dominated by a type of dwelling or type of transaction not common to another locale in the same city/town. Transactions in one part may comprise traditional, stone-built, tenement flats while another part of the city/town is dominated by semi-detached houses or new-built developments or some other dwelling type that will influence the sales figures. Calculating and comparing a single headline average value of properties sold by mixing figures from such contrasting districts is highly misleading.  In Additional Reports we provide separate figures for traditional dwellings which we separate from new-built and right-to-buy transactions. We only report on true open-market transactions and we exclude discounted sales, exchange or part-ownership schemes, transfers between family members etc.

So go on, if you want improved accuracy at reasonable prices, either click here or click on the Additional Reports button to the left of the page.
